Digital Drawing and Painting with Rocco Fazzari
Join nationally-recognised cartoonist and artist Rocco Fazzari for a workshop in using a computer tablet to sketch, draw and paint.
Rocco’s focus will be on getting participants to feel as comfortable creating images on digital devices as they are with traditional mediums.
This three hour workshop, for enthusiasts and accomplished artists alike, will help participants make their smartphone or tablet as their everyday sketchbook, and to create preliminary studies and concepts that form the basis of a painting.
Participants will receive one on one guidance from Rocco Fazzari as they sketch/draw/paint still life objects
Participants are encouraged to bring their digital devices, digital stylus, paper, paints and traditional drawing implements. If their digital device doesn’t have a drawing app, they should purchase and install the Procreate app.

About Rocco Fazzari
Rocco Fazzari is a multimedia artist. His practice includes illustration, painting and contemporary animated short form video making.
An early pioneer of digital media he is as comfortable drawing on paper as he is on digital devices.
His illustrative work appeared in the Fairfax press for 30 years.
He specialised in political cartooning/illustration which often called on his skills as a caricaturist.
He now works as an independent multimedia artist creating works for various media outlets and institutions both private and public.
This includes the ABC, Rolling Stone Magazine,The Greater Sydney Commission, The Art Gallery of NSW Society, Sydney Living Museums, The International Consortium of Investigative Journalists, The Australia Institute and UNSW.
He has won numerous awards for his work proudly including the Bald Archy twice.
